Cynthia Tsang, of Boston, opened Lash L’amour in 2010.  Lash L’Amour is an upscale eyelash & eyebrow extension boutique providing an array of beauty services including manicures and pedicures and wedding make-up.  They employ the latest techniques used on Hollywood’s celebrities and highest quality semi-permanent eyelashes and medical grade adhesives in their process.

What motivated you to get into business? I am passionate about beauty and I take a lot pride in helping my clients look and feel their best.  My favorite moment is when my client looks in the mirror and I see them marvel at what a positive difference our eyelash extension service has made.

What is the biggest kick you get out of doing business in Newton? Our clients are interesting and loyal.  They appreciate and value what our service brings to them.  Moreover, the other businesses in the area are very supportive of each other.

Who inspires you? Anyone who takes pride in their craft and constantly works hard at putting forth the perfect product and service.

Who is your business hero? I admire Vera Wang. She took her inner sense of beauty and style and turned it into products women all over love and grew it into a successful business.

What is your biggest business challenge? Finding, inspiring, and maintaining skilled staff.

What do you know for sure? Passion without commitment and hard work is destined for failure.

What do you do when your well is empty/you need to recharge your batteries? I don’t wait for my well to be empty.

What one piece of advice would you offer a new/prospective Newton business owner? Don’t be shy about asking questions and seeking out advice from other businesses in the area.

What do you want your customers to know about you? Many clients who are new to our service are surprised at how much of a difference a simple set of new eyelashes makes.  We take pride in our work and aim for top shelf client service.
